I just want to take the opportunity to thank my mom and all the mothers out there for all they do. Lately I've been thinking about Motherhood as I've interacted with mothers who are my age (I know, crazy!!!) here at school. In my Child Development class we watched "The Miracle of Life" video, which is just as informational as it is painful to watch. I was reminded of everything it takes to be a mother, even before the child is born. It is exhausting physically, mentally, emotionally, all that... but I hear it's rewarding too, right? Haha.
But seriously, I am so grateful for my mom, both of my parents are awesome and are way supportive. I'm grateful that I am really close with both of them and we can talk about anything. Whenever I'm having a "crisis," I can call either one of my parents and get advice or just calm down, haha. I appreciate my mom and all she does for me and my three siblings every single day; we drive each other nuts sometimes, but she really is my best friend.
I think it's nice to do something special for moms on Mother's Day, but I think the best thing a person can do is to be the person that she raised you to be. Have integrity, try your best at everything you do, and be grateful. I think that making your mom proud to have raised you is the best gift anyone can give.
