So to start out my break, I was stoked to find out that I have a new cousin!

He's so tiny and precious!!
After wrapping things up in Rexburg, I flew out from Idaho Falls Saturday, had a layover in Salt Lake, and made it to Oakland by the late afternoon. I was so excited to look out the window of the plane and see the bay! The fam was at Sadie's junior prom pictures during the afternoon, so I waited about an hour in the airport before they picked me up and we were off to SAN FRANCISCO!
This is Nathan, Haley, and I-- taken on my dad's new iPad 2!
So the first thing we did was hit Chinatown to get some awesome Dim Sum. It was SO nice to eat Chinese food again after months of being a starving college student :)
Then we saw Rain, an awesome Beatles tribute band, in the Orpheum. Each "Beatle" did an awesome job looking and sounding like the real thing. After that night, I think I fell in love with California and the Beatles all over again!
We all stayed in Oyster Point that night, and the next day we headed to the marina and ate lunch at Greens, a vegetarian restaurant. This was the view from our table :)
The weather that day in SF was sunny, warm, and absolutely amazing; I've never seen it so nice there!
This is the dish I ordered, raviolis-- they were awesome!
So the rest of the week, I chilled at home, went to the gym, and got somewhat of a tan. It was just super nice to be around family for a week and to be under no obligations! No class, no tests, no studying, buying groceries or dealing with Rexburg's awful weather. It was quite the vacation. I also got to spend time with my Aunt Lisa and my cousin Mikayla. Kayla and I played all Saturday because I got to babysit her-- I love that girl!
Here she is reading books :)
I flew back to Idaho early Sunday morning, and I really miss all my family back home in California. Before going to school, I took spending time with them for granted. My perspective has changed on a lot of things since then, and I'm so grateful for that week of fun and memories :)
